On the initiative of the Embassy of Hungary and the Hungarian National Council of Zagreb, with the support of the Cathedral of Zagreb, a Croatian-Hungarian language mass was dedicated to the Saint Martin memorial year of 2016, on the 12th of November, in the Cathedral of Zagreb. Ivan Sasko vice-bishop of Zagreb and Róbert Almási Hungarian priest of Osijek both praised the faith and human dignity of Saint Martin during their preaching. The church service was followed by a Gregorian and Hungarian music performance by the Saint Martin orchestra of Budapest. The ceremony was followed by a procession of lanterns.
