During his visit to Zagreb on January 17-18, 2022, Miklós Soltész, Secretary of State for Ecclesiastical and Ethnic Relations, met with Minister of Culture Nina Obuljen Korzinek, with whom he reviewed in detail the planning and construction steps of the earthquake-stricken church in Žažina and Marijair.

During his program in Split, the Secretary of State held extensive consultations with the Hungarian government on the issue of the statue to be erected at the birthplace of St. Margaret in Klissa Castle. During his meeting with the Archbishop of Split-Makarska, Marin Barišić later visited the planned site of the monument in person. He visited the representatives of the local Hungarians (HMDK), with whom he took part in the traditional annual Mass offered to St. Margaret at the Split Cathedral.
