On the 20th of April 2018 in Modern Gallery, one of the leading contemporary galleries in Zagreb, Minister Zoltán Balog and Minister Nina Obuljen Koržinek ceremoniously opened the representative József Rippl-Rónai exhibition presenting the collection of the Rippl-Rónai Museum in Kaposvár. In Zagreb, for the past 15 years there has been no precedent of a similar Hungarian art exhibition of this scale and size. The realization of the exhibition was initiated by Károly Szita the mayor of Kaposvar and our Embassy, and it was realized through the support of the two cultural institutions and Kaposvár, as well as through the close cooperation of the professionals at Rippl-Rónai Museum and the Modern Gallery in Zagreb.

The Zagreb exhibition presents the artist's oeuvre through 85 art works starting from his early Munich studies to mature works. Numerous representatives of the Hungarian and Croatian media attended the vernissage, and a great number of online news portals reported on the vent.
